Knowing the Brain Game Tricks

There are limitations to the brain and its working is also so complicated that one is not able to fully comprehend the dimensions of the nature of the operations of the human brain. However, what is evident is that there are a number of tricks and puzzles which cannot be solved by the simple brain operation alone.
Optical illusions are the most popular and one example is the set of parallel lines which appear crooked when the bounding lines are broken and joined unevenly. The mirage in the desert is another optical illusion where we see images drifting and appearance of water where there is none.
Similarly word puzzles are made where the usage of words and their grammatical connotations are intermingled to make the brain dizzy with the implications.

Fun Games to Help Improve Your Memory

Whether you are young or old, trying to remember thing sometimes can be difficult especially if you have a lot to remember. The practical ways of remembering things such as writing on note pads, leaving a message on your phone or writing things on your calendar does not always work. However, there are other ways to remember things that are fun and can help improve your memory.

  • The first game is concentration which is typically used with the alphabet. For example, there are eight people playing concentration. The first person will say the letter A and a word that starts with A such as apple.
  • The second person will say the letter B and a word that starts with the letter B such as Boy in addition to the letter A word given by the first person.
  • This process goes on until the last word for the last letter of the alphabet has been given. As the people are taking turns remembering other people’s letters while saying their own, if they can not remember any letter they are out of the game.
Other fun games to improve your memory include the picture game in which you are shown a number of items for a minute of two and must writed down as many items as much as you can remember.
 Exercise your mind
One of the reasons why the brain slows down is because it is not used as often as it should be used. There are studies in fact that support this. People who answer crossword puzzles, play strategic games and work even when they are old are less likely to have Alzheimer’s. The use of the brain is actually a preventive measure for the onset of forgetfulness during old age.
